Director AL Vijay, who got divorced form actress Amala Paul, today denied reports that he is set to marry again.
Vijay and Paul were formally granted divorce by a family court on February 22 and rumors of his second marriage surfaced soon after.
"To my dismay, I found that there were rumors about my remarriage in a section of media. This is baseless. This kind of unchecked and unauthorised information disturbs me a lot," Vijay said in a statement.
"My commitment to the audience is to make films of substance and I will strive hard to deliver that," he added.
Vijay and Paul filed for divorced in August 2016 just two years after their marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
They completed the mandatory six-month separation period two weeks ago, bringing the legal proceedings to a conclusion.
Vijay is currently awaiting the release of action adventure "Vanamagan", which has Jayam Ravi essaying the role of a tribal. The movie is slated for Tamil New Year release on April 14.
