Australian envoy appoints 18 alumni ambassadors for 2017

Australia's High Commissioner to Harinder Sidhu today appointed eighteen high profile Alumni Ambassadors to champion prestigious Australian Scholarships across the South region.

This year's group of Ambassadors - ten from India, and two each from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Bhutan-will visit leading research and higher education institutions in their respective countries and share their experiences of studying in with students, faculty and administrators.

The Awards-Endeavour Ambassadors Initiative recognises the valuable contribution of alumni in raising the profile of as a high quality study destination.

Since the commencement of this initiative in 2014, has appointed 83 Alumni Ambassadors from various academic institutions across and South A new group of Ambassadors is appointed each year.

The Awards-Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are an annual competitive Australian awards program for high-achieving students, researchers and professionals from around the world to study in Australia's world-class education institutions or undertake a professional development program.
