An Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) delegation on Friday met Lt Governor over alleged "anti-activities" in the Delhi University (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), even as the student wing Student Union of (NSUI) approached the police over "provocative" posters put up in DU's North Campus by the RSS-backed body.

The two actions came against the backdrop of the recent violence in college where and Left-affiliated All Student Association (AISA) clashed over cancellation of a seminar invite to JNU students and



"We took a delegation to meet the seeking his intervention into the issue of anti-activities taking place in JNU and DU since a year. We submitted a memorandum to him demanding strict action against those who indulged in such activities," ABVP's Media Convener, Saket Bahuguna said.

The Congress-affiliated objected to "provocative" posters put up by at various places in DU's North Campus.

The had on Thursday put up the posters with photographs purportedly showing "violence perpetrated by the Communists" in various parts of the country.

'DU against intellectual terrorism', 'Rapist go back', 'DU against anti-nationals' were a few of the slogans written on the posters which drew sharp reactions from the Left-affiliated groups.

The today approached police as well as the varsity administration demanding that the posters be removed.

Meanwhile, the Left-backed Students Federation of (SFI) and All Students Federation of (AISF) staged separate protests on Friday against members for their alleged involvement in inciting the violence at college.
