Ericsson deploys service solution for Reliance Jio

NEW DELHI: Telecom equipment maker Ericsson has deployed a solution for newcomer Reliance Jio that will allow faster onboarding and quality service for customers.

"Ericsson has successfully deployed an end-to-end OSS fulfillment suite for Reliance Jio Infocomm, the world's fastest-growing operator," Ericsson said in a statement.

This OSS deployment includes order management, inventory management and activation solutions, it said, adding that the deployment has helped Jio achieve faster onboarding and provide quality service to its 100 million users.

No financial details of the deal were disclosed.

"The deployment of the OSS stack by Ericsson, which by far is the largest deployment by any single operator anywhere in the world, is helping us in critical areas like order management and activation solutions, thereby giving customers an enhanced user experience," Reliance Jio Infocomm President Jyotindra Thacker said.

Paolo Colella, Head of Region India for Ericsson, said the business-critical platform is robust, scalable and fully supports Jio's ambitious expansion plans.

"With proven capabilities in OSS/BSS and system integration, Ericsson will continue to partner with Jio in enabling its vision of providing a future-ready network for every Indian," Colella added.
