CloudCherry hires Rose Bentley to head North America operations

BENGALURU: Customer analytics startup CloudCherry has hired Rose Bentley from California-based Satmetrix, the provider of the global industry benchmark on customer retention, to head its operations in North America.

The company has also appointed former Salesforce COO Rajani Ramanathan to its board of directors. Bentley, who was vice president of global sales at Satmetrix, will head sales and operations at CloudCherry’s North America arm. The startup will shortly open an office at Salt Lake City, Utah, and hire about 10 employees for sales and marketing in the region.

“We have identified major sectors in the North America region, including retail and financial services, where the sales and marketing efforts will be directed,” Bentley told ETin an interaction in Bengaluru this week. The startup’s North America expansion comes five months after it raised $6 million from Vertex Ventures, Cisco Investments and IDG Ventures.

A Microsoft Accelerator alumni, CloudCherry provides omni-channel customer services to enterprise clients, including tools for brands to track and target customers. The company, which has operations across Asia, the Middle East and North America, counts Titan, HDFC Bank, MakeMyTrip and Puma among clients.

“Being customercentric is a key differentiator in today’s marketplace and has a profound impact on business success,” said Ramanathan. “A company needs to create a strategy that encompasses all customer interactions, which can be challenging since there is overwhelming amount of data to process and it can reside in silos and be fragmented,” she said.
