A 75-year-old woman, missing since February 26 after she left home for a temple festival, was found dead with dog bites all over her body, police said.
Police said it is not clear what was the cause of her death and her body had been sent for post-mortem to the Thrissur medical college hospital.
Janaki, hailing from Changramkulam in Malappuram district, had left home for attending a local temple festival. As she failed to return, her family had filed a complaint, police said.
Police said some children saw a pack of stray dogs attacking the woman's body today and informed others.
The body, found in deserted paddy field, not very far from her house, had several dog bites, police said.
