Amethi Superintendent of Police Anees Ahmad Ansari identified the arrested duo as Dal Singar Singh and Sandip Kumar Singh of Katsari village under Kadipur police station of Sultanpur district.

The incident had occurred on February 6 when Ekantik Sharma, working as an accountant in a local firm arrived outside the Kathaura branch of of Baroda along with his colleague to deposit some money.

Minutes before stepping into the bank, the two were attacked by a gun-wielding miscreants, who decamped with their bag containing the money after firing over them. The gun fire resulted in killing of Ekantik, while Sharma was injured and rushed to the hospital.
