Meenakshi Dawar and Varun Goel join Reliance Mutual Fund

Get ready for some fund manager churning. Meenakshi Dawar, Associate Vice President- Fund Management, IDFC Asset Management Company, has joined Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management as a fund manager in the equity investment team. Varun Goel, Vice President-Fund Manager, Portfolio Management Sercvices at Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company, has also joined Reliance Mutual Fund.

Meenakshi Dawar has over nine years of experience in Indian equity markets. She was managing the IDFC Equity Fund, IDFC Dynamic Equity Fund (with Arvind Subramanian), IDFC Nifty Fund, IDFC Asset Allocation Fund of Funds, IDFC Arbitrage Fund and IDFC Arbitrage Plus Fund (with Harshal Joshi, Yogik Pitti). Before joining IDFC AMC, Dawar was associated with ICICI Securities and Edelweiss Capital.

Varun Goel has over 10 years of experience in portfolio management and equity research. Prior to Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company, Varun Goel headed the portfolio management division at Karvy Stock Broking. He also worked with KC Securities and Kotak Portfolio Management.

Murthy Nagarajan, head of fixed income, Quantum Mutual Fund, is joining Tata Mutual Fund this week. He will head the fixed income division at Tata Mutual Fund.
