Higher volume was witnessed in Edible oils on Wednesday as stockiest gave fresh orders tracking sharp jump in overnight sharp jump in Chicago Soya oil futures and firm Malaysian palm oil. On BCE price wise imported palmolein, soya oil and groundnut oil rule steady but sunflower, rapeseed and cotton oil gained by Rs5 each.

During the day Allana, Golden agri and Emami together has sold about 3800 – 3900 tons of palmolein at Rs575 – Rs578 and about 550 – 600 tons of soyabean refined oil at Rs653 – Rs655 to the local traders for delivery up to March. Stockiest interest and active participants kept morale firm said sources.

Liberty’s rates for Palmolein Ex STC / Shapur were Rs593/ Rs592 for March. Super palmolein at Rs613 and Soyabean refined oil ex Shapur Rs670 for March.

Ruchi’s rate for Soyabean refined oil Rs672.50 for March and Sunflower oil Rs680 for March.

Allana’s ratesfor Palmolein were ex – Khopoli / ex - IVP Rs 590 / Rs 593 for 30 March. Soya refined oil Rs660 for 30 March. Sunflower refined oil Rs690 for 30 March.

In Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was steady at Rs1480 (Rs1480) and Loose (10 kgs) Rs940 (Rs940). Soyabean arrivals in Madhya Pradesh were 90,000 bags and its rates were Rs2850 – Rs2950 - ex Mandi and Rs2950– Rs3025 plant delivery. Indore soya oil exp. Jumped to Rs640 – Rs645 and Soya refi.oil was Rs670-Rs675.

On National Commodities and Derivatives Exchange Soyabean refined oil March -17 futures declined to Rs669.70 (Rs.675.50), April-17 decrease to Rs659.40 (Rs.664.35) and May-17 was lower at Rs650.50 (Rs.655.70) till evening.

Malaysian crude palm oil March -17 futures settled higher at MYR 2951(MYR 2898), April-17 at MYR 2875 (MYR 2810) and May-17 ended at MYR2831 (MYR2770).

On The Bombay Commodity Exchange spot rates (Rs/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 980 (980), soya refined oil 660 (660), sunflower exp. ref. 620 (615), sunflower ref. 675 (675), rapeseed ref. oil 745 (740), rapeseed expeller ref. 715 (710), cottonseed ref. oil 670 (665) and Palmolein 575 (575).
