OhoShop raises $1 million from Brand Capital

OhoShop, a software as a service (SaaS) based m-commerce enabler and maker of quick, affordable and branded mobile applications and websites for small and mid-sized enterprises, has raised $1 million in funding from BCCL's Brand Capital. BCCL is the publisher of The Economic Times.

The funds will be utilized for marketing push. OhoShop was founded in March 2016 by serial entrepreneurs Abhishek Agarwal, Rakesh Jain and Nidhi Agarwal, who have extensive experience in serving clients across 70 countries and diverse industries.

The company provides self-branded mobile apps and websites on monthly subscription model to small and mid-sized businesses, and publishes Andoird and iOS apps. It has built for several end-markets such as fashion, restaurant, grocery, spa & salon, pharmacy, etc. Its immediate goal is to increase the penetration in metros and its home turf Gujarat where it sees the largest potential.

"Our consistent efforts have paid off and the trust shown in our abilities by the investors is indeed encouraging. OhoShop has lined up aggressive expansion plans and the funds will help us build our brand and expand our presence," said Abhishek Agarwal, co-founder & CEO, OhoShop m-commerce.
