Prasad wished Kumar over telephone.
When the Chief Minister reached the Assembly and later went to the Legislative Council, a host of ministers and legislators also greeted him by presenting him with bouquet.
Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, his brother and Health minister Tej Pratap Yadav, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, state Congress chief and minister Ashok Choudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav and JD(U) leader and Deputy leader in Assembly Shyam Rajak wished Kumar.
Former minister and JD(U) MLA from Bajpatti in Sitamarhi district Ranju Geeta presented him a bouquet of 66 roses and other flowers.
Kumar thanked the well wishers and offered them ladoos in his Assembly chamber.
Son of freedom fighter Ramlakhan Singh Kaviraj, Kumar was born at Bakhtiyarpur in 1951.
He lost his wife Manju Sinha in 2007. He has one son named Nishant Kumar.
