Wabco India, a supplier of technologies that improve the safety, efficiency and connectivity of commercial vehicles, renewed its commitment as the official braking technology partner of Tata Motors' T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship in 2017.
Wabco India will participate in the fourth season of India's pre-eminent truck racing championship, which will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), Greater Noida.
Wabco teamed up with Tata Motors from the very beginning of Season 1 of the championship, when Tata Motors launched India's premier truck racing event in 2014.
The introduction of truck racing in India has given Wabco the opportunity to demonstrate its industry-leading braking technologies on the race track, under the most extreme operating conditions.
Each Tata Prima race truck is equipped with a state-of-the-art air brake system that includes Wabco's Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and high-performance air management system in addition to high-output, modular compressor technology, advanced air actuation systems, Integrated Pedal Unit (IPU) and other braking components.
Wabco India adds significant value to Tata Motors through pioneering technologies, local application development, extensive aftermarket network and world-class manufacturing facilities.
