A police team today seized 400 cartons of Made Foreign (IMFL) worth Rs one crore from Chandni Chowk area in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district.

Acting on a tip off, a police team raided and searched the truck near Chandni Chowk and seized 400 cartons of foreign liquor, Brahmpura police station Officer-in-Charge Upendra Kumar said.



The truck, carrying foreign manufactured in Haryana, had illegally come to Muzaffarpur from Haryana, he said adding that the was meant to be sold in and around the district.

The driver and the cleaner of the truck, however, managed to escape from the scene, the police officer said adding that police are investigating the matter.
