BJP is just another version of the Congress: Shiv Sena

MUMBAI: BJP’s plan to embarrass the Shiv Sena by saying that the former would never align with the Congress to come to power in the BMC, has offended the Shiv Sena.

Angered at the BJP’s insinuation that the Sena was diluting its ideology, the latter has now hit out at the statement of Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis saying that his party would never align with the Congress.

In an editorial in its party mouth piece ‘Saamana’, it has slammed the BJP and accussed Fadnavis of still speaking as if he is in an ‘election campaign’.

In an acerbic attack, the editorial slammed the BJP for its double standards. “They they have no issues with tying up with Mehbooba Mufti of the PDP in Jammu and Kashmir. The Congress is definitely dubious but aligning with those like Mufti who openly support a terrorist like Afzal Guru is more dangerous,” said the editorial.

It alleged that the BJP’s claim of not going with the Congress is quite ‘hollow’ as the BJP has been taking in a lot of members from both the Congress and the NCP. The editorial alleged that by taking in members from the Congress and the NCP, the ‘BJP has just become another Congress’.
