Seaways shipping and logistics opens new warehouse
MUMBAI: Seaways Shipping and Logistics Limited Friday said it has opened a new warehouse in its Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) division at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai.
"Seaways FTWZ is consolidating its presence in the southern region through the Sriperumbudur facility. We have recently entered the Mumbai market and look forward to expand our presence to other parts of India including Visakhapatnam, Mundra, Ennore (near Chennai) and Khurja," said Vikas Sirohi, Vertical Head, Turnkey Projects and FTWZ Services,
"Customers including traders, exporters, importers and manufacturers can be benefited from the duty deferment benefit of up to 5 years for the cargo stored by them inside FTWZ. Customs duty can be paid only for the part of the cargo that they move out of FTWZ as and when they require (either for consumption or for further sale)," he added.
