Multi-brand car service provider MyTVS has re-branded its identity and repositioned its service centres as ‘service showrooms’.
The repositioning exercise commenced in August last at the Ambattur facility in Chennai, Vinay Piparsania, President, TVS Automobile Solutions Pvt Ltd said.
Speaking over phone after inaugurating its fully integrated service showroom at Pudur in Madurai, Piparsania said the effort aims to provide end-to-end post-warranty car service ranging from quick service and speed wash, wheel alignment and tyre balancing, 24x7 road assistance, car care and mechanical repairs in a more transparent manner at affordable costs.
The Pudur facility spans over 12,000 sq ft space. It has 10 mechanical bays with 3D wheel alignment, wheel balancing and vehicle scanner, emission check and more.
“More than 70 per cent of the cars go out of dealership service after the warranty period. Owners of such vehicles look for a trusted garage to carry out car repairs and maintenance. Our focus is on this space.”
The company now has around 300 service touch-points across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra. It plans to add another 50 service touch-points before the close of this fiscal.
“We have set a target to double this network in the next two years, ensuring MyTVS' presence across all the key states,” he said.
The business potential for such service is estimated at $10 to 20 billion.
Mobile app
The company has launched a mobile app – MyTVS AutoPlanet – to enable customers to book their service at the touch of a button and get the repair estimate on the app itself.
