The high-voltage Uttar Pradesh election has turned out a 23.78 of voter percentage by 11 am in the fourth phase of the Assembly polls.
In this phase, polling is going on in over 12 districts spread over 53 constituencies, including Bundelkhand and the Congress-dominant Rae Bareilly region.
Other districts where polling is continuing in this phase are Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Allahabad, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot and Fatehpur.
More than 680 candidates are contesting the elections, and around 1.84 crore people are expected to vote in the phase.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the smooth functioning of the polling process.
Borders of districts have been put under surveillance and heavy deployment of forces for round the clock checking is made.
The results will be announced on March 11.
