A spiceJet flight, which was to fly from Pune to Delhi, on Wednesday was delayed for six hours after its windscreen was found broken.
"Flight SG 999 was held up by a mechanical issue, requiring the replacement of a windshield," a SpiceJet spokesperson has said.
"The men and material required to replace the windscreen were moved from Delhi and Chennai, but, as the Pune runway was closed from 8 a.m. to 10:30 am, the flight carrying spares landed at only 11:00 a.m.," SpiceJet added.
Meanwhile, few passengers were rebooked onto other flights, while others were accommodated in the airport lounge.
The flight after getting its mechanical issue repaired, departed at 4 p.m.
