The sugar market witnessed a firm trend on Monday, tracking higher parity/cost of mill tenders amid support of local retailers’ demand. On Saturday evening, about 14-15 mills offered tenders and sold about 28,000-30,000 bags at ₹3,850-3,910 (₹3,840-3,900) of S-grade and ₹3,910-3,970 (₹3,900-3,960) of M-grade. . On Bombay Sugar Merchants’ Association, spot rates were: (in ₹) S-grade 3,952-4,032 (3,936-4,032) and M-grade 4,030-4,276 (4,000-4,256).Naka delivery rates were: S-grade 3,930-3,975 (3,920-3,970) and M-grade 3,975-4,050 (3,980-4,050).
