Shiv Sena complains against Devendra Fadnavis to EC, claims violation of code of conduct

The Shiv Sena has complained to the Election Commission against Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis claiming that he has violated the Model code of conduct.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that Fadnavis had violated the model code of conduct by giving inteviews to media persons at his official residence ‘Varsha’ with the BJP symbol on him.

The Sena also claimed that in spite of campaigning ending after 5pm, Fadnavis was giving out an interview which was a violation of the code of conduct. Raut even claimed that the interviews being given was a ‘paid news’ by the BJP to woo voters.

The BJP has however slammed the Shiv Sena’s charge by saying that the Sena was on a complaint filing spree against it to the EC. “The Sena said that we are party that deserves only 60 seats, why is the Sena filing three complaints every day against us, when we are only getting 60 seats.”? Questioned State BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari.
