DIIs buy Rs 1,445 crore of shares in Feb so far
NEW DELHI: Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers in the equity markets on Friday, as they bought shares worth Rs 499.2 crore with gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 1,694 crore and Rs 1,194.8 crore, respectively.
On a month-to-date basis, they have bought shares worth Rs 1,445.7 crore till February 17.
On Monday, the BSE Sensex was trading 88.42 points up at 28557.17 around 1.10 pm (IST), while NSE Nifty was trading higher 26.15 points against its previous close.
In the Nifty pack, Hindalco Inds. (down -0.87 per cent) , YES Bank (down -0.86 per cent) , Bosch (down -0.83 per cent) , ITC (down -0.82 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (down -0.77 per cent) , Axis Bank (down -0.63 per cent) , Cipla (down -0.53 per cent) , HDFC (down -0.48 per cent) , M&M (down -0.45 per cent) and Dr Reddy’s Labs (down -0.44 per cent) were trading in red in the afternoon trade on Monday.
However, Idea Cellular (up 3.21 per cent) , Tata Steel (up 2.90 per cent) , GAIL (up 2.53 per cent) , BPCL (up 2.30 per cent) , Tata Power (up 1.90 per cent) , PowerGrid (up 1.70 per cent) , TCS (up 1.69 per cent) , Hind. Unilever (up 1.66 per cent) , Asian Paints (up 1.59 per cent) and Adani Ports SEZ (up 1.46 per cent) were trading in green.
