Here's the list of cricketers who are being bagged at IPL auction 2017
NEW DELHI: The auctions are on for the tenth season of the Indian Premier League which will run from April 5 to May 21. At the auctions in Bangalore, 351 cricketers are under the hammer. The eight franchisees will bag players with an aim to balance their sides.
The auctions this year pose two new challenges: one, the franchises will have to look at the short term because from next year, the whole auctions game is set to change radically. Two, England and South African players will leave the tournament midway for international commitments so the franchises will have to have a Plan B is in place.
The spotlight in the auctions is on Ben Stokes, Kagiso Rabada, Ishant Sharma, Tymal Mills, Irfan Pathan, Trent Boult, Jason Roy, Mitchell Santner, Imran Tahir, Corey Anderson, Colin de Grandhomme and Jonny Bairstow.
