Supreme Court notice to alleged Hindu activist
NEW DELHI: The SC on Friday issued notices to an alleged Hindu activist, accused of murdering a Muslim youth, on an appeal against a Bombay High Court decision, which had controversially granted him bail on the ground that they could not be denied bail only because the deceased was a Muslim. The HC decision delivered on January 12, 2017, was challenged by his kin. A bench issued the notices seeking the legal views of the accused, who belongs to the Hindu Rashtra Sena and the prosecution, the Maharashtra government.
