Samsung India has expanded its consumer electronics portfolio by introducing smart convertible refrigerators which run on solar power and a new range of air-conditioners with digital inverter technology.

“Consumers are looking for energy-efficient products, and our new range of refrigerators and air-conditioners have been designed to suit their needs,” Rishi Suri, Director, Consumer Electronics, Samsung India, said.

The new refrigerator and air-conditioner range enable faster cooling, the company stated.

The new range of refrigerators are compatible with solar power.

Launching new products here today, the Samsung official said they expect to close this year with a strong double-digit growth.

Based on customer insights, Samsung has launched a new S inverter air-conditioner range in the affordable luxury segment. This series is engineered to consume less power and produce exceptional cooling comfort.

The company official said since the digital inverter range is equipped with an 8-pole motor, it ensures faster cooling performance of up to 43 per cent and consumes lesser energy compared to conventional air-conditioners.

The convertible refrigerator range runs on solar power as well as on home inverter.

The smart convertible refrigerator is priced at Rs 27,250, the mid-segment range begins from 253L and has multiple sizes up to 670L.

Direct cool refrigerator start at Rs 14,900. The products range from 192L to 230L.

The S-Inverter digital inverter technology-based air-conditioners are priced in the range of Rs 35,900 to Rs 66,600.
