BHEL and Idea Cellular have been removed from the benchmark Nifty 50 index, NSE’s index provider IISL said in a statement on Thursday. The two stocks will be replaced by Indiabulls Housing and IOC instead, as part of the periodic review process. The changes will take effect from March 31, the statement added.

In the broader Nifty 500 index, 25 companies, including Alok Industries, Future Lifestyle and JSW Holdings are being replaced with Dilip Buildcon, Endurance Tech, Future Retail and Mahanagar Gas.

Apollo Hospitals, Bharat Forge and Castrol India are being excluded from the Nifty 100 index. These will be replaced by ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, Petronet LNG and Rural Electrification Corporation.

The full list of additions and deletions can be accessed at the NSE website.
