Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank among most active stocks in terms of value

NEW DELHI: Shares of Infosys, Sun Pharma, RIL, Tata Motors DVR, SBI and Ventanda were among the most active stocks in terms of value on Wednesday's session.

Shares of Tata Motors ( Rs 1160.57 crore) , Sun Pharma ( Rs 396.93 crore) , Reliance Industries ( Rs 224.36 crore) , Tata Motors DVR ( Rs 223.84 crore) , Infosys ( Rs 222.11 crore) , Maruti Suzuki ( Rs 207.21 crore) , ICICI Bank ( Rs 191.53 crore) , SBI ( Rs 180.49 crore) , Vedanta Ltd ( Rs 168.78 crore) and Axis Bank ( Rs 154.30 crore) were among most active stocks in terms of value on NSE on Wednesday.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 71.25 points down at 8721.05 in the afternoon trade on Wednesday.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors (down -8.48 per cent) , Tata Motors DVR (down -8.10 per cent) , Sun Pharma (down -3.39 per cent) , BHEL (down -3.27 per cent) , Bank of Baroda (down -3.17 per cent) , Tata Steel (down -2.93 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (down -2.80 per cent) , Hindalco Inds. (down -2.43 per cent) , Idea Cellular (down -2.27 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharm (down -1.96 per cent) were among top losers.

On the other hand, Zee Entertainment (up 1.96 per cent), Bosch (up 1.26 per cent) , ITC (up 0.78 per cent) , HDFC Bank (up 0.60 per cent) , Bharti Infratel (up 0.35 per cent) , Bajaj Auto (up 0.32 per cent) , M&M (up 0.32 per cent) , Grasim Inds. (up 0.16 per cent) , Lupin (up 0.09 per cent) , Hind. Unilever (up 0.05 per cent) were trading in green.

Most Active stocks in terms of value help investors to identify the stocks with highest trading turnover during the day.

Shares of Pan India Corp, SAL Steel Ltd, Mawana Sugars, Alkem Laboratories Ltd., ABM International Ltd., Times Guaranty, NEPC India, GRUH Finance, IGL, Northgate Com are the stocks which touched their fresh 52-week high.
On the other hand Rasoya Proteins, MT Educare, Intellect Design Arena Ltd., Pricol Ltd., Tera Software, DB International, Nitesh Estates, BSE Ltd., Pennar Engineered Building Systems Ltd., KSS Ltd stocks hit their new 52-week low levels during the day.
