Slack demand and reselling pressure kept edible oils market bearish on Monday. Tracking weak overseas reports stockists stayed away and concentrated on fulfilling old commitments.

On the BCE, groundnut and cotton oil declined by ₹10 and ₹5 each. Lower closing of Malaysian market dragged palmolein and soya oil by ₹1 and ₹5 each. Sunflower and rapeseed oil were steady.

Liberty’s rates for palmolein Ex STC / Shapur at ₹629/ ₹630, super palmolein at ₹650 and soyabean refined oil ex Shapur ₹695

Ruchi’s rate for soyabean refined oil ₹695, sunflower oil ₹702.50.

Allana’s ratesfor palmolein ₹633/₹630, soya refined oil ₹700, sunflower refined oil ₹710.

Golden agri was quoting palmolein at ₹625.

At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin eased by ₹20 to ₹1,460 (1,480) and loose (10 kg) was lower by ₹5 to ₹925 (930).

The Bombay Commodity Exchange spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 970 (980), soya refined oil 695 (700), sunflower exp. ref. 650 (650), sunflower ref. 700 (700), rapeseed ref. oil 805 (805), rapeseed expeller ref. 775 (775), cottonseed ref. oil 695 (700) and palmolein 622 (623).
