Reliance Defence Q3 net loss narrows to Rs 132.71 crore

NEW DELHI: Reliance Defence and Engineering Limited on Saturday reported a net loss of Rs 132.71 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 against a net loss of Rs 293.60 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Total income from operations of the company increased 138.31 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 122.71 crore for the quarter under review against Rs 51.49 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

For October-December period, the company posted an operating loss of Rs 46.16 crore against Rs 180.95 crore in the same period last year.

Shares of the company closed 0.93 per cent down at Rs 58.75 on Friday.

Total expenditure of the company declined 27.36 per cent to Rs 168.85 crore for the quarter under review against Rs 232.44 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
