The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will not intervene in the on-going political development in Tamil Nadu, according to Union Minister for Urban Development, Information and Bradcasting, M Venkaiah Naidu.

While speaking to newspersons here on Saturday, Naidu described the recent political developments in Tamil Nadu as `painful’. Referring to the race for the chief minister post, he said it was ``for them’’ to decide.

The BJP had no role in it, the senior leader said while taking exception to `baseless allegations’ of the Congress in the matter.
