PNB, SBI, ICICI Bank among most active stocks on Thursday

NEW DELHI: Shares of PNB (number of shares traded: 1.14 crore), State Bank of India ( 1.01 crore) , ICICI Bank ( 0.94 crore) , Hindalco Inds. ( 0.94 crore) , DLF ( 0.78 crore) , BHEL ( 0.76 crore) , Idea Cellular ( 0.73 crore) , Ashok Leyland ( 0.58 crore) , Bank of Baroda ( 0.57 crore) , Axis Bank ( 0.51 crore) stood among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday ’s session till 1.30 pm (IST).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 2.45 points down at 8766.6, while BSE Sensex was trading 7.43 points up at 28297.35 on February 09 .

In the Nifty index, Bharti Infratel (up 2.63 per cent), Aurobindo Pharm (up 2.34 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.97 per cent), Lupin (up 1.73 per cent) and TCS (up 1.65 per cent) stood among top gainers, while Hindalco Inds. (down -2.22 per cent), Tata Steel (down -1.87 per cent) , Bank of Baroda (down -1.76 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (down -1.64 per cent) and Cipla (down -1.57 per cent) were trading in red.
