Eastern Condiments invites nominations for Eastern Bhoomika Awards 2017

KOCHI: The Kochi-based Eastern Condiments has announced the launch of Eastern Bhoomika Awards for the 3rd consecutive year. The Eastern Bhoomika 2017 was launched by Dr Beena Vijayan IAS, MD KSIDC at the Eastern corporate headquarters here.

Chairman, Navas Meeran said that the overwhelming success of the Eastern Bhoomika Awards in previous two years has prompted the Group to extend it to two more states. This year Eastern Bhoomika awards will be given in a total of five states, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and UP. The award ceremony will be conducted in major cities like Kochi, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai and Lucknow.

He added that the aim of the campaign is to salute each and every woman who are generally gone unnoticed and unrecognized. A few fortunate women are able to show their mettle and come to the limelight.

But there is vast a majority who support, lead, work 24/7 without holidays. They remain silent but communicate strongly through their act of love and compassion. Many owe their success to these silent women in their role as wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, teacher or classmate.

Managing Director, Mr Firoz Meeran explained that the uniqueness of the Eastern Bhoomika event is that it happens on the same day across all 5 states. Selected candidates under the 'Eastern-Bhoomika, Iconic Women of Your Life' campaign will be honoured at a function to be held on 8th March at 10 am. Eastern as a brand always stood for empowerment and uplift of women in society. He said that nominations can be sent to bhoomika@eastern.in.
