Rasoya Proteins, Paramount Comm, Aptech hit 52-week highs on Thursday

NEW DELHI: Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 14.90 points down at 8,754.15 0in the afternoon trade on Thursday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters amid mixed global cues.

Shares of Rasoya Proteins, Paramount Comm, Aptech, Gujarat Apollo, Vaibhav Global, Venkys (India), Crest Ventures, PBA Infras, Vijay Shanthi and India Tourism touched their fresh 52-week high on NSE.

However, stocks such as Birla Cotsyn, JMT Auto, Raj Rayon touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 24 shares ended the day in green in Nifty50 index, while 27 settled the day in red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Bharti Infratel, Aurobindo Pharm, TCS, Tech Mahindra, GAIL, Hero MotoCorp, PowerGrid, Lupin, Infosys, Zee Ent. stood among top gainers, while Bank of Baroda, Tata Steel, Hindalco Inds., Cipla, Larsen & Toubro, SBI, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Grasim Inds. remained among major losers in the index.

The BSE Sensex was down 56.57 points at 28233.35. Traders were seen piling up position in Gems and Jewellery, Petrochemicals, Infrastructure, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Food Processing, Electronics, Hospitality, Beverages - Non-Alcoholic, Shipping sectors, while selling were visible in Aquaculture, Packaging, Iron and Steel, Glass, Rubber, Engineering, Information Technology, Textiles, Auto, Agriculture/Horticulture/Lives sectors.
