Ex-Tamil Nadu CM O Panneerselvam revolts, says ready to withdraw resignation

NEW DELHI: Former Tamil Nadu CM and AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam today said that he is ready to withdraw his resignation and added that there has never been any instance when he betrayed his party while remaining in power or opposition.

Key points from O Panneerselvam's media briefing:

* Amma remained CM for nearly 16 years, I happened to become CM twice,all this was the wish of Amma. Always followed Amma's path

* Health queries regarding Amma raised in recent past, its duty of state government to enquire. Recommended an enquiry commission

* Govt has responsibility to clear doubts. A sitting SC judge to head the inquiry commission

* I will meet the Governor once he is back here

* I will prove my strength in the assembly

* Will meet Tamil Nadu people, in each and every city to make my point

* Union Government supporting Tamil people. Whoever extends support to Tamil people, we will accept it

* Sasikala Natarajan remains interim General secretary of AIADMK

* Election will be held soon for the 'permanent' General Secretary post of AIADMK

* I will accept Deepa Jayakumar's support, if offered
