Godrej Industries, JP Associates top stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs today

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 3.75 points lower at 8712.65 in the afternoon trade on Thursday on account of selling in selected bluechip counters.

Shares of VKS Projects, Vijaya Bank, Poly Medicure, Tarapur Trans, Agarwal Corp, Godrej Ind, Tantia Const, Bhandari Hosiery, JP Associates, Godrej Properties hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE.

Meanwhile, stocks such as DB International, GKW, Shekhawati Poly, Birla Cotsyn, Rasoya Proteins, Raj Rayon, Tricom India hit their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 20 stocks were trading in green in the Nifty50 index, while 31 were trading in red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel, Aurobindo Pharm, Infosys, Dr Reddys Labs, NTPC, Axis Bank, BPCL, Cipla, Tech Mahindra stood among top gainers, while Hindalco Inds., M&M, IndusInd Bank, Bosch, Tata Motors, ACC, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, YES Bank, Hero MotoCorp remained among major losers in the index.

The BSE Sensex was trading 15.48 points up at 28157.12.

Traders were seen piling up position in telecommunications, retail, tobacco, information technology, power, leather, petrochemicals, petroleum, gems and jewellery sectors, while selling were visible in packaging, iron and steel, glass, rubber, engineering, textiles, auto, transport and banks stocks.
