Jeera prices traded down on futures as traders booked the profit followed by weak demand in physical markets. Though, downtrend was limited due to tight supply. Spot prices edged down.

Traders said demand at the spot decreased, especially from exporters. Buyers are waiting for new crop which is likely to start arriving by this month end. However, much fall in the jeera price is not expected due to poor stock position.

About 900-1,000 bags of jeera arrived in Unjha mandi of Gujarat and prices were down by ₹15 to ₹3,300-3,750 per 20 kg. About 100 bags of jeera arrived in Rajkot APMC and price declined by ₹10 to ₹3,300-3,700.
