Elecon Engineering on Tuesday informed that the company has appointed J S Patel as Chief Executive Officer for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) division at the company's unit at Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat.

Patel has a rich experience of about 40 years in the Material Handling and Construction Industries. He had joined the Elecon Group in 1977 as a Junior Engineer and rose up to the level of Head-Construction.

During 1998 to 2008, Patel worked with multinational companies like Roberts & Schaefer, Chicago and Kellogg Brown & Root, Houston engaged in the field of Material Handling & Construction.

Patel, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel University, re-joined Elecon Group in the year 2008 as Vice-President – Construction & Projects, and considering his long association and contribution, he was elevated as Chief Executive Officer for MHE division, a company statement informed here.
