The Petroleum Conservation & Research Association (PCRA) jointly with industry players and oil marketing companies have launched the month-long oil & gas conservation drive - Saksham - from January 16 to February 15.

Gujarat Governor Om Prakash Kohli in the presence of industry players comprising Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, and GAIL (India) Ltd in association with the PCRA on Monday launched the conservation awareness drive.

Sanjeev Kumar Jain, state-level co-coordinator, oil industry, Gujarat, and Executive Director, IOC-Gujarat, stressed on the judicious consumption of petroleum products and need to conserve it for future generations and the importance of environment protection.

The Governor flagged off a rally of school children to propagate the message of oil & gas conservation drive SAKSHAM-2017.
